Thinking Globally, Acting Locally

June 9, 2026

Nelson-Jameson is proud to announce that we have become an official supporter of the United Nations Global Compact.

That means that Nelson-Jameson is now part of 20,000-plus companies internationally to commit to the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative to target sustainable and responsible business practices to safeguard the environment, protect human rights, ensure fair labor practices, and ethically run our business.

Ten principles of the global compact

To become a supporter, Nelson-Jameson signed off on our support of the Ten Principles of the Global Compact, as well as agreed to report yearly on our yearly progress. These materials will be publicly available on the Global Compact website.

The move to join the Compact ensures another level of commitment from Nelson-Jameson to complement and expand our current sustainability and corporate responsibility efforts, as we already reference the Sustainable Development Goals developed by the United Nations in our yearly Corporate Responsibility Report.

The Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals both echo our approach to sustainability and corporate responsibility at Nelson-Jameson. Throughout our history of four generations of family ownership, we have strived to make a difference in our communities, with our employees, and be good stewards of topics like food safety and service in the food and dairy industries.

Environmental, social, and governance

Sustainability demands a comprehensive approach to an array of environmental, social, and governance concerns to ensure our place in the industry and in our communities now and for future generations to come.

As a Compact supporter, we look forward to expanding our knowledge and understanding of approaches to sustainably operating our business. Working with the United Nations and other businesses to innovate and target practical, measurable actions to positively impact our stakeholders is something we look forward to as we continue to grow the next generation of our business in Wisconsin, California, Idaho, Texas, and Pennsylvania.
