Food processing distributor recognized for fostering a high-trust, employee-first culture

Nelson-Jameson is proud to announce its designation as a Great Place to Work Certified company for the third consecutive year. An impressive 91 percent of employees rated the company as a great place to work, highlighting its commitment to fostering a culture where employees feel valued and supported. This recognition underscores Nelson-Jameson’s dedication to building a workplace where trust and collaboration thrive.

The Great Place to Work Certification is based on comprehensive anonymous employee feedback gathered through the 2025 Trust Index Survey, a global standard for evaluating workplace culture. This survey measures five key dimensions: leadership credibility, respect, fairness, workplace pride, and a sense of belonging. Nelson-Jameson excelled in these areas, earning high marks from employees.

“A third straight Great Place to Work certification is an incredible validation of our employees’ voices and positive experiences at Nelson-Jameson,” said Heather Simcakoski, Executive Vice President of Employee & Customer Experience of Nelson-Jameson. “Each year, we continue to strive and create a workplace that empowers every team member to succeed while feeling valued. This new honor only strengthens our belief that kindness and mutual respect are essential to our success, and more importantly, our employees’ successes.

Survey results revealed exceptional employee satisfaction at Nelson-Jameson. A total of 96% of employees reported feeling welcomed when they joined the company, 98% said they feel comfortable taking time off, 96% expressed pride in the company’s contributions to the community, and 96% are proud to tell others that they work for Nelson-Jameson. Additionally, 100% of full-time employees earn a living wage.

To achieve certification, companies must complete the Trust Index Survey and Culture Brief™. Employee feedback is analyzed, and organizations meeting or exceeding the global benchmark are certified. For Nelson-Jameson, this process underscores its efforts to create an environment where employees feel empowered to succeed.

The Great Place to Work Certification not only highlights Nelson-Jameson’s commitment to its team but also distinguishes the company as an employer of choice. Organizations with high-trust cultures are proven to outperform peers in retention, productivity, innovation, and financial success. This recognition enhances Nelson-Jameson’s reputation as a desirable employer, boosting brand visibility and its ability to attract and retain top talent. It also highlights the company’s efforts to celebrate exceptional leadership and foster employee pride.
